im thinking a "leopard" lol..... as there seems to be so much leopard print stuff in the shops (god im unadventurous/lazy!!) will probs turn out to wear sum kind of dress, cat ears and a tail ...... wot bout u??
No I have no idea either! Will probably get someone else to put it on my properly hehe! Any ideas for jungle bop?
Strange as it sounds, Terry Deary's Groovy Greeks (a Horrible History) has diagrams and step by step instructions on how to turn a towel into a toga...
Jungle bop - green/brown clothes and green foliage face paint, or a leopard print cat suit
Anyone know what Hilda's bop is this year? yeah so i'm not a fresher, still planning to crash though should be fun! dammit i'd love to be a fresher again...

We weren't told in advance last year, were we? A shame, as I could have brought my tennis whites from home - although in the event I didn't go (because I felt the use of the word "ho" in the title was a trivialisation of the plight of prostitutes, and an objectification of women - I know, I know, I took it, and myself, far too seriously!).
Given that the title of the bop was "Golf Pros and Tennis Hoes", I should probably have stuck my tongue firmly in my cheek and gone as a gardening implement...
Because I'm on the JCR committee, I get to help plan and execute Freshers' Week - which will be my excuse for pretending I'm a Fresher again and having a whole lot of fun
At Queen's, we have an Alphabet Bop, which is basically the same as the 'Name Game'. My friend thinks I should go as the Inquisition or the Iron Curtain, but I'm having a hard time thinking how to actually do either costume.
Inquisition- black or brown dressing gown, a cross and a large mallet, with which you can hit people whenever you here them swearing/talking about sex/drugs/etc.
the same as rachel................ but haven't worked out how i'm gonna fashion a toga out of a sheet yet
hehe thats the most fun bit! once you've had a bit to drink, trying to all put togas on each other...its hilarious!my advice is ....lots and lots of safety pins!!!

Quistis I think I know who you are now Mwahahaha!! And also, why is almost everyone on the Hilda's JCR a History student?? You're not going to give us any clues as ot the theme then? Is it a good one, at least?
the theme for lincoln's bop is uniforms. I'm not sure how much of my mcdonald's uniform i'll wear yet though. See how elaborate everyone else is being, i guess.

How? It's not that I keep my identity deliberately secret or anything - I'm happy for you to know who I am, otherwise I'd not mention my subject in my profile or talk about being on the committee in the Hilda's thread - but I am wondering what made you suddenly realise who I am. Did you analyse my grammar and punctucation? I'm curious as to who you think I am and why - PM me?
Unless you interpreted my comment about planning Freshers' Week as meaning I'm the Entz rep? Because I'm not - we all get to muck in. . I don't know the bop theme yet. I'm assuming we'll all discuss it when we meet next week, but actually Emma (the Entz rep, who is not me ) may have already decided, so why not email her?
History - I didn't notice we had lots of historians... isn't everyone on the committee studying Politics in some incarnation? I think I'm the only person on the committee who doesn't know the difference between Milton Friedman and Milton Keynes...
Mine at LMH is 'under the sea'- i'm thinking of either a simple diver with goggles and swimming shorts, or a gangster with concrete boots on (but not sure how well i could do that). Any ideas yourselves.

it said as much in the freshers' pack. Look on the page from the entz team.

Details of Freshers' Week will follow when you arrive, but we can tell you now that it will end on the Friday with you[sic] first college bop, a well-loved Oxford tradition. The theme is 'UNIFORMS' so get thinking of a costume!
