No. Most parents don't care for a looooong time. Perhaps you will feel different when you hold yuour niece/nephew.

i think you'll feel different when the kid is actually around and you can hold it and stuff. i don't think it's bad of you not to be excited now, quite normal really! some parents don't even feel anything to start with!

l've got about 12 nieces and nephews and l don't care. l've met most of them and they're exactly like all other kids. l wouldn't worry about it, you don't have to bring the child up.

I'm an uncle but I've never met my nephew and niece, and I'm not really that bothered. It could be because I only met my brother for the first time in about 15/16 years last November.
