I was interested in the process of how UV light may split the bonds in the CCl4 molecule and wondered if anyone knows a website which has data and details on this process. I am also interested in similar splitting of the bonds in compounds consisting of methane and methane-derivates ( compounds were the hydrogens has been substituted with another element or side group, typically a halogen.)

Also, the stability and security issues related to these compounds woudl be interesting.

    Thanks Jonatan
