It's easy to drink this stuff by the bucketload because there's no gas and it goes down a TREAT. However, this makes it all the more lethal. So what are the average prices for a pint around Brighton then? It's about £2.50 over here.. I've heard prices are fairly similar?
£2.50 is a good price in brighton it costs me over seven quid to get a pint of heineken and a glass of wine (175ml) in the pub closest to my house. If I find a pint for two and a half quid I am a happy man.
having said that it might be a bit better with student card discounts etc

Somewhere that isn't the Pav Tav (though the Tuesday night club above it is hilarious - I think I remember it being like entering some kind of weird nu-metal timewarp).
Personally I like Hectors House, the Free Butt, the Fishbowl, and the aforementioned Alley Cats
If you're remotely into anything alternative everyone will tell you to go to the Pavillion Tavern (PavTav), don't do it, it'll be entirely rammed with either emo's or old men (there doesn't appear to be a pattern, it's just one of those things), and the cost of a double vodka seems to vary wildly on a weekly basis.
But it's cheap! hehe! Bottle of wine for £5.75! :-D
And... well... it helps the younger people ;-) lol.
Pub/ Bar crawl to get a feel of it. The Happy Bar does GORGEOUS mint chocolate icecream cocktails... but will cost you a lot! lol. Weatherspoons is typically cheap. The walkabout is good too- has a dance floor, kind of like a mini club. You have to pay (depending on the night) £2 to get in but it's alright. 6 shots for a fiver! Horatios, on the pier, is a laugh if you've had too many and want to do karioke in front of the older folk lol.

Wooh, I love the freebutt. Shabby chic leather sofas and cheap drinks.
