I had a mini fridge in my first year at Beaumont... noone found out and noone cared to be quite frank! just as long as u hide it on room inspection day(yeah they do have them) then you're fine :smile:

Yeah, a girl in my block in Beaumont also had one this year and I don't think she had any bother with it. Yeah, hide it for room inspections though!
Haha the person who asked this question posted this almost 3 years ago. They will probably be graduating soon!

Yeah it would be fine, but to be honest I don't see why you'd ned it. There will be fridges in all halls.

yeah but i mean do people tend to nick the food?
i thought lots of things get pinched from the fridges

Well in my block there was only a problem at the very beginning when someone ate someone elses out of date mini pancakes. It was delt with efficiently thanks to a 'lost pancakes' style poster with a few threats (such as 'a good ******* kick' ) thrown in for good meaure. Other than that there were no other problems I know about! But we did label our food to avoid confusion etc.

It's really up to you, take a cool box if you want. I'm in halls again next year and won't be.
Meh, in my flat we all pinched a slice or two of bread of a bit of milk whenever we ran out but when we bought a new loaf/bottle you let the other person have some. It worked pretty well. No-one stole food though.

i had a minifridge and so did 6 other people i know and nothin came of it, during room inspections my fridge got complimented.
