We got told in class that they were more common in the NW UK, but looking back over my notes and searching the internet i can't find anything more helpful than the fact they get more rain over there. Anyone have a clue?

i'm not sure but maybe something to do with the geology, rock type may be more unstable? but yeah they get more rainfall which will have an influence over the amount of landslides
