By conserving energy, 80% of stretched energy= Final gravitational potential energy of man (assuming string massless)
Thus, 80% X (1/2)kx^2=mgh
Where, k= string constant=F/L
x=L
m=mass of person
g=gravitational const= 9.8 in SI units
h=height upto which he rebounds.
Ofcourse, don't forget to add the initial height (after which the string becomes taut)
