A2 Spanish - How difficult is it compared to AS?

Hi everyone,
Is doing Spanish at A2 easier than the AS. I am asking because I have covered all the tenses now at AS level and as an adult learner I do have to pay over £300 to take the A2 course. If the A2 is simply about reading and writing more difficult texts then perhaps I could save some time and money by doing a bit of self study.

There is a possibility of there not being any adult classes near me that will teach A2 level Spanish. So my only option maybe to go it alone. Thoughts and advice from anyone reading this that has done an A2 in Spanish would be hugely appreciated.

I received an A grade (80%) for my AS level in a fairly mediocre adult class where the syllabus was not covered fully.

Well, I'm only two weeks in, but maybe I can help. Right now, we're really going over the basics at the minute, after the hiatus during the summer. I would recommend trying to read some books in Spanish. We do two at A2 level, and so you'd be diong it anyway. I have found reading, for example, some of Marquez's shorter novels extremely helpful. The listening involves basically summarising a piece, and the oral is obviously more difficult, though I'm not exactly sure what it entails. To be honest, I think you would be better off trying to do some work by yourself, trying a few exam papers and working through the procedure. Nearly all of the grammar, except some of the subjunctive, is taught at AS level.
