girl keeps calling and then sort of acts like she doesnt know me

i think this is weird. theres this girl i really really like and she calls me nearly every night and we have a great chat, but the next day she sort of acts like she doesnt know me very well and says very little.

and also she is not at all shy shy is very popular and has lots of friends.

has anyone else had this experience? and what do you think she feels about me.

i have considered asking her but i dont want to cause problems as she is my friends 1st cousin and my friend dont know i like her.

shes doing that because shes shy around you. talking on a phone to a guy you fancy is ok, cos your not face to face and somehow always have lots to talk about, when its face to face its different.

well if you talk on the phone all the time, she probably does like you. maybe she fancies you and is worried you dont feel the same?

its easy to appear confident on the surface but underneath being a bit shy. and confident people can be shy when it comes to people of the opposite sex.

or maybe shes doing it on purpose - playing a bit hard to get.

maybe you should talk to your friend about this?

Well that's not something we can say really - just ask her! Often your gut feeling will be right: but what is the worst that can happen? You ask if she likes you, she says no, and you carry on being friends. :smile:

just ask her on the phone, why is it that we get on so well when we talk on the phone, but at school we don't talk?
then it kinda puts her on the spot. she may not realise what shes doing, mind you i think she's just playing hard to get.
you could just be her secret =]

me and my man spoke a lot in school, but it was never when his friends were there. then near the end of last term he couldn't give a fook who i or he was with and we just talked when we could.
things have gone from good to better since, so yeah, just ask her on the phone like i said before/

If she says yes whoopee, you've scored.
If she says no, your in the same position you are now.
If you don't ask, then see previous sentence.

So if you ask her you could loose ... nothing.
And if you don't you could miss your chance.

Ah age won't be an issue then. I would imagine, as has been said, that she is just shy around you. I would just keep working at it: not everything clicks straightaway.
