Looking for accommodation

Hi,

well, based on my experience of living in halls for the past two weeks - no I wouldn't. My flat mates are noisy, rude and very messy. I'm always left to clean up their mess and have to deal with their parties late night.

But that's my experience, you could have wonderful flatmates and get on really well with them and when you get private accommodation in 2nd year, you'll have someone to share a house with.

It's up to you really, be aware that you don't have a washing machine in your flat, you have to pay to use it at reception every time. The common room is basically a few sofas and a tiny TV, but Seething Wells is closer to the shops whereas Clayhill has a proper bathroom (the ones at Seething Wells are the size of an airplane) but Clayhills is a minimum 20 min walk to everywhere - to shops, to uni, even the bus stop.

I would lean towards halls tbh, solely because you have your own bathroom and there's a cleaning check every week. If you live in a private home, you may not be so lucky.

Best of luck
