Yea I hope so too!!!! Which ones do you want to study? I really want Durham- tis it your 1st choice?

German & Russian - Durham's my 2nd choice, but it's the only university that hasn't replied yet :mad:

Why on earth would you start e-mailing by the end of January?!?!? That's crazy!!
You don't have to make your choice for First and Insurance choices until like, March/April isn't it? If not later?!
I know that it's a time that you really get wanting your offers, etc. but I applied for Geography and I think I got my offer around the end of January/start of February so it's not that unusual to get it quite late.

Yeah, perhaps that is a bit hasty - I was basing this on the letter saying they'd start deciding after January 15th. We'll see.

College: Van Mildert ('cause my bro's friend told me it was the best place to be. oh, and the facilities, location and more usual reasons)

Heard: nothing! :-O. Even now! I applied early, before the early applicant deadline, so I have no idea what's been going on up there. No confirmation letter, durham track id, or anything. I have 3 offers and 1 rejection (engineering at cambridge, emma) already though, so I'm not going to rush them. Still, my bro said durham gave him freebies for christmas [yeah katrin_tara! i think it was a mousemat or something if i remember right, nothing much but a lot more than other unis], got back early, and pretty much courted him as a likely cambridge reject (which he was too). But then again, that was for comp sci, not engineering.
Hope I hear soon, good luck to all of you for getting in! Haven't chosen yet myself, waiting for the last 2 offers.

Well I am really really confused right now. Durham have made me an offer:

But for the wrong course...

...and in the wrong college!

I applied to do BSC Psychology in Grey College and until last Thursday, my application was awaiting a decision from Durham with the course number being C800/G, corresponding exactly to my wishes to do Psych at Grey. However, when on Friday I was made an offer (of BBB), the course number had changed to C810/7!!! Meaning Applied Psychology at John Snow college!

What on earth is going on?

I tried ringing the uni but as its Saturday, the office wasn't open to requests of my nature.

I am so upset and annoyed right now: what should I do?

Also, the Durham track website says:

* Your application has been received by the Department
* Your application has not yet been received by a College

So how is that I've been made an offer?

Ahhhhhh sooooo annoyed!

lol..everyones gets recieved by department..only if college recieves it we get offer.

i dont think Durham will be my 1st choice but after looking at certain statistics i think id enjoy my time there more than at my current 1st choice

Mine's been showing as "received by college, decision not yet made" for a while now, though I suppose a few weeks of that was the Christmas period... I'm just impatient and want to know what college they stuck me in if not Chad's!

Ahhhhhh sooooo annoyed!

This means that the Psychology Dept. (based in Durham City) has decided not to give you an offer, but the Applied Psychology Department (based at Queen's Campus, Stockton) have given you an offer instead. This is quite a common occurrence with Psychology applicants, so I'm led to believe.
If you're still unsure, email the department.

Have u applied open too?

But thinking about it, if you've made a law offer by cambridge (i don't do ibs but 42 seems close to other) surely it shouldn't matter.
