I really wouldn't take the Modern Languages letter so seriously - I got it today as well... the oversubscribed thing will just be an excuse for taking so long I expect. Even if there was one more applicant than places they could say it was oversubscribed, and I don't think it even says in the letter that Modern Languages is one of the courses that are oversubscribed. I remember looking at a table and something like 50% of applicants got an offer for our course. Don't freak out!

More like 60% IIRC :smile:

i kno i shouldnt take it so seriously, they are renouned for being slow, but i didnt think id get in before! a wel, wait and see i suppose!!

Has anyone got an offer for physics from Durham? Not heard anything since October. I dont care if they reject me or accept me to be honest, as its not going to be my firm or insurance choice. I just want them to get a move on!

I know one guy, sunelir got an offer from Durham for physics. I was in the same position as you, not caring if I got in or not, and I got rejected! So there you go. Not bothered, but still looks a blemish on track!

I got rejected for Theoretical Physics yesterday, my only rejection. Guess I just don't have what Durham are looking for or something :s-smilie:

nooooooo Im applying 4 that course I hope mines not in the post. But sorry to hear that and by the look of things ull go somewhere good anyway (i mean ipc and oxbridge offer :congrats:

see above. But also rember that if its not in your choices you can reject them instead (not that its a brilliant idea). If its the only uni ur waiting for and ur certain u've got all the choices u want u can cancel rest and put ur firm and insurance already down. but u might always change ur mind.
Im desperate 4 an offer howver and will probably put them as firm. :smile:

By the way wats imperial interview like if you had one?

Hello everyone!

Got a Durham interview tomorrow for Geology - and I'm pretty terrified to be honest! But also - my Applicant Enquiries Service thingy says:

* Your application has been received by a College
* A decision has not yet been made. Please visit the UCAS website for further details

yet I have 2 interviews tomorrow - one for department and one for college, so I'm not entirely sure what will happen, I shall tell you all!
Have to get up at about half 3, I live in Hampshire and so it's quite a trek!

Has anyone else had interviews in the Earth Science region? What's it like?
