Thanks Winnie! Hopefully yours will come soon. If you get an offer from Durham will you definitely be going there?
I'm not completely sure.......I keep changing my mind At the moment I'm torn between Durham and Bristol as my firm (if I get an offer from Durham that is...) I think going to the Open Days would help me decide.

Have u been to Bristol yet? If not go there first. I didn't much like it (each to there own) and to be fair it was mostly science department which was the problem, MFL might be great (but don't chance it if u havent been). Friend went to durham interview and has knocked his other two firms right out of place (now had to decide on insurance) so might be worth taking a look.
Soory to hear about NatSci Heartbreaker. But sure u'll end somewhere nice (oxford being one of them so I really wouldn't care)

I had a talk in one of the science buildings and yeah it looked a little bit old and untidy (not bad compared to every other uni I've seen though!). Bristol as a whole, however, is beautiful, and the modern languages buildings are all modern and just plain cool. You'd never guess because they're hidden behind some big houses, through each of which you can get into the building. It's awesome.

I've seen the city of Bristol and the language department (on an independent visit) but I haven't been to a proper Open Day to find out more about the course, accommodation etc - I'm going to one on 7th March I desperately want to hear from Durham now though!
Some people still haven't heard - the UCAS recommended deadline for all universities to have given responses is not until the 31st March. http://ucas.com/getting/deadlines/index.html
Why? Surely it doesn't matter? Last year I applied in mid October and didn't get an offer till late February. The year before I'd applied in mid October and got an offer at the beginning of November. Just don't stress about it.
People ask this question EVERY SINGLE YEAR, and I can categorically state that people's answers vary so much they will be of no comfort to you whatsoever, so stop asking this question.
What is the latest anyone received an offer from Durham who had applied by the January UCAS dead line?
well I applied in mid october and haven't heard yet. Could be anytime. I think someonw drew a graph, it' a squewed normal distribution (can you have that?), with the peak around Jan/Feb. Although I'm not sure that it was meant in all seriousness.
