No it's not. She's right.

Maybe, but did it stop you enquiring about Bristol offers - I think not.

True, but I was merely seeing if anyone had received them yet. And if you read I was moaning about how slow they were being, because it is frustrating.

But I'm not constantly asking whether because it's late in the day whether they are still considering me. There is simply no concrete precedence on the issue. Therefore it's a pointless question.

Whereas, if I know if the Bristol offers are coming in, at least I know I'm likely to receive an offer/rejection soonish.

Surely the date you applied is relevant, even those Universities that say they will not give out offers until after the Jan. deadline still look at the applications in the order they received them.

So easy to say.

No it's not easy to say. I've been through the Durham application process too, remember, and I am telling you it won't make any difference. I know people who applied the same time as me who recieved offers 2 months before me, and 2 months after me. IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE. Sorry to be harsh, but I'm telling the truth.

Because they have not replied to my math application yet.:p:
just out of interest...is it too late to switch what college
you want to apply to? Durham track still says "not recieved
by College"...should i contact Durham admissions people now? or only when (and if it says "sent to college") ?

i was hoping of changing from Castle to Hatfield.

thanks.

ps congrats on the offers...really nice to see so many
people on this forum studying Russian!

Wow, they were 3 I was trying to decide between! Which languages are you doing? I really didn't like UCL when I went. I adored Bristol at the open day a couple of weeks ago, I was actually stunned by how much I liked it, and am not sure whether to bother with the Durham open day!
I'm doing French and Spanish!!

Oh why didn't you like UCL? I quite liked it but I don't really like the look of the accomodation and apparently it's quite far away from UCL itself!
I can't really see myself going there so I'll have to go and see both Bristol and Durham!

Ronove - Which college did you apply to in durham?

'i was hoping of changing from Castle to Hatfield.'

why were you thinking of changing from Castle to Hatfield? I think castle looks really cool and am sort of regretting not applying there instead of Hatfield.

I just didn't like the tutors, the buildings, the accommodation arrangements look awful, and then after the first year you've got to move reeeally far away to get somewhere affordable to live. The course isn't that great either, I want to be able to try linguistics/history etc, all the units seem to be literature based (and you don't get to choose very many either).
I applied to St Cuthbert's Society. Having to choose between Bristol and Durham isn't the worst situation to be in, is it?

If you were stunned by how much you liked Bristol, maybe the same will happen if you go to the Durham open day?

I'm still waiting to hear from Durham and Bristol for History and Poitics and History.

Not been to an open day either, although I've had a look around Durham.

888 posts. Gambleicious.:p:

i think id like Hatfield more .

so does anyone know if it can be done?

and if so, should it be done once (and if  ) Durham track says "sent to college".

Don't you already have an offer? If you do, it's already been sent to college.
