Are halls clean?

I have heard that halls might be not clean cause no one is taking care of cleaning them. How true is this statement? :confused:

What halls? I've only ever seen clean halls. Except messy residents' rooms which I think would be harsh to blame on the uni.

They'll be clean when you get there. Just expect to live with a bunch of moranic slobs who don't wash up :rolleyes:

I couldn't stand it, I've had to move back home because I hated halls so much.

Yeah! I'm transferring unis at the end of this year, there is no way I'm moving into another hall!!

Yep, they are clean when you get there, but belive me, - it won't last. Me and my flatmates are 'relatively' clean and tidy people, though you wouldn't belive it judging by the state of our flat. I've managed to build up a tolerance to it now though, and can ignore the dirt, mess, grime and left-over food scattered everywhere! - Whereas previously I'd been known to do a 'Monica' and have cleaning up sprees!

Was it just the cleanliness (or rather lack of it) that bothered you?

Everything did.

About the halls though, I'm almost 21, so perhaps it was just I was a bit too old for that environment.

What sort of 'clean' are we talking about? I mean untidiness or dirtiness? I suppose you can keep your room as clean as you want so that's the main thing.

Food dirt does annoy me.

I can see that experiences are diffrent.
What i mean by clean - is everything. I know I can keep my room clean, but what if I share bathroom, shower, and kitchen. Are they in mess? Are there rats, and coakroaches, and things like that?

I think all communal areas are cleaned by the university pretty often... I might be wrong though.
