change in attitude due to girls

Hi,
this year my school (6th form) went mixed. I have noticed that with the presence of girls, most of the lads have changed their personality remarkably- these were the 'idiots' at school.
Im am now faced with a dilemma- to change my personality to enhance my chances- or just stay as I am. The problem with this is, i get the impression that all the new girls wont see past the new guys' personalities.
I admit that I am gettinga bit desperate regarding getting a gf in 6th form, but it's just rediculous that even when one speaks to a girl alone- all the 'fake' lads just butt in. I am thus in no position to ask for a number or pull a potential gf if we are never alone on school night outs. the boys in the 6th form just won't let another boy speak to a girl without butting in!

just lookin for some advice, and soz if this post comesx across as weird, im sure most of you have noticed this change in attitude as well in your 6th forms if they go mixed.

Be yourself, try speaking to some of the shy girls if you must. They're also probably being themselves and like you say, not changing cuz girls change too.
