Hi,

Currently I'm doing Further Maths AS on OCR MEI at a consortium school as my school doesn't currently offer it. However, my school are planning to offer AS and A2 Further Maths on Edexcel from next year, meaning that I would be changing exam boards half-way throughout the A Level. I am also doing normal Maths on Edexcel at my own school.

My modules for A Level Maths will be C1-4, S1 and M1
However, if things go as mentioned, my modules for Further Maths would be:
AS: FP1, D1, S2 (MEI)
A2: FP2, S3, S4 (Edexcel)

Does this mean that, in order to achieve an A* in Further Maths, I will have to score over 270 across FP2, S3 and S4 (i.e. I will not be able to use S2 as an A2 module as a result of changing exam boards)?

You can probably get credit switched from exam boards to accommodate your situation, allowing you to use S2 as an A2 module, you would need to enquire with Edexcel about this however.
