Loved this - was on last night!

Who annoyed you the most? Yusef's mother seemed like a fruitcake!

lol, yeah!

Very good programme. Ian Wright could have just given the £10k they needed - he has plenty.

he needed it so that he could use the sports hall, pay the people who came to help, etc.

Curse my poor memory!

I loved the show and I love Ian Wright! I thoughty that some of the parents were awful. No wonder children are so unfit.

haha oh god uself mum.i think ian told her to be in goal just so he could aim the ball for her face.

and the one who went home crying to his mam i cant remember his name.at the beginning when ian told her he was like 50% fat and she burst out crying. yeh its a sad thing to hear but dont tell me she didnt bloody expect it in the first place.
then she started shouting at the kid saying he shouldnt steal money to buy rubbish food. because she was obviously a perfect size 8 herself so obviously doesnt already buy the food herself.i always hate the parents in these things.

i thought it was funny when the whole school were doing the things to see who would get picked and everyone wanted to be picked and were so happy when they were but like did they not realise they were picked cos they were the fattest most unhealthy kids?like i dont mean it in a harsh way but thats the point of the programme

Some fo those parents really should be ashamed. I turned on the TV for the last 20 minutes and quite enjoyed it.

Yusef and his mother obviously dont really care about getting him fit and would prefer him to concentrate on his music. But apparently doing that 3 nights a week made him exhausted.

The best was the woman at the end who refused to take part in the game because she didnt want to be filmed running around and she claimed the shirt would have been too small. What a bad example to set your kids, i actually admired the parents who got involved and joined in because they made the effort

I thought that the kids would get a real buzz out of having their parents play with them-a great idea by Ian Wright. That woman set an unbelievable example for her son, and I felt sorry for her son. For heaven's sake, worse comes to worse, all she had to do was stand in the goal and not move.
i was sort of watching it, did they all lose loads of weight by the end of it?

I am not sure how long it goes on for (I mean, the scheme itself went on for a few months), but the next episode is next week.
Oooooh i thought it was like 6months in one episode

one of the girls who was actually trying unlike some of them like usef was saying she hadnt lost any. duno how many days the first episode was over. but in reality they only put major effort into it when it came to the fencing. hardly the most strenuous of sports

It's a bit unrealistic to expect somebody to change their entire life style overnight.

What was the name of that guy who went home crying to his Mum about Ian? She was pure EVIL, stroppy, the usual ''Oohhh, nobody has the right to shout at my baby!'' and then refusing to join in with the parents sports team.

What I found sad was that a lot of the parents were overweight, and were filmed cooking fry ups, etc. So even if the kids do lose the weight, who's to say the parents won't just keep cooking the same old crap for them to eat?

The programme is about getting the kids active etc. but one look at their parents you can see why they are unhealthy
-they are eating lard and grease with a slice of bread, and then playing computer games for 20 hours a day!
-it should target the parents more - especially the one who said "Nobody has the right to shout at my baby!", Yes they do when he doesn't do the exercise

This is on newsround, and reminded me a bit of annoying, whinging parents. Shows how tough it's going to be to get healthy kids if the parents don't help.

I loved this programme. I could really relate to that girl, Gabby i think she's called, she seemed to have a similar mind-set to me :p: But that mother of jerome was teriible, did she not realise that she was embarassing herself more by making a fuss of running than actually doing it. Also, when Ian was at their house, and she just turned on her son, that was terrible. I felt so sorry for the boy, she obviously has some deeper issues :frown:
