Should women and society be worried about men dropping out?

Yes, I'm a feminist and yes, I'm furious. Not sure why that's a laughing matter.

Here, I'll tell you why it's a laughing matter.

Feminism is nothing more than a religion. It's been perpetuated by nothing more than the myth - yes, myth - of millennia-old patriarchal oppression. This stupid ideology, that continues to dominate academia and use the State as a weapon against men, needs to be wiped off the face of the Western world. Women have their legal equality, go somewhere else where perhaps you will really make a difference.

"Feminism is about gender equality!", no it is not, and it never has been. It's only ever been a religion pushed through by comfortable upper class women that centres around the ruthless pursuit of female self-interest, much of the time to the detriment of men. Feminism will never end, because it is not designed to have a final goal in mind - it must prop up the myth of Patriarchy to justify it's existence, all the while denying men economic opportunities, using the State to violently redistribute assets from men to women, violently deny men access to their own children, use the greater amount of medical research for women and refocus society away from major issues like male suicide. Your reckless and barbaric female-serving dogma is not about equality, otherwise the name would be "egalitarianism" and not "feminism".

Oh be nice.

All that is going to make her even madder.😠
On a real note though, its still in the UK very easy to find a girlfriend/wife that doesn't consider themselves a feminist, but sees themselves as equal to men.

It really isn't that difficult, its just the case that if you go on the internet it would be easy to assume that all men are misogynists and all the women are feminists.. It just isn't the case...

I think a lot of men who use this excuse for not dating women are probably using it as their justifier for not being able to pull.

For me, the idea of going out with a woman who declares herself a feminist (please note, you can tell me a feminist is someone who believes in equality all you want, I do not accept your definition in 2014 in the West) is up there with dating a vegan or someone who is strictly religious. Effectively someone who spends a lot of their time preaching/attention seeking/ looking for the offence in everything should be avoided.

This is still a minority of women... 9/10 women IRL and about 6/10 women on tsr are completely sane.
Men dropping out can take a variety of forms. If it is not wanting to have a family, there have always been a proportion of men (and women) who never wish to have children. If it is not wishing to have a career, a home of their own, and a life path traditional seen as the male role, then maybe there are more men with those wishes than before. I don't think that is something to be worried about if it is a genuine choice. However, I am not so sure it is, if men remain living at home with parents because they cannot afford a place of their own, or because they fritter their income on unnecessary or harmful things (too much drinking for example).
All I see is more people embracing personal freedom instead of listening to what society expects of them. The only real risk is the birth rate dropping in a similar fashion to Japan.

Has TSR been like this the whole time I was away, or did I just alert the Manosphere to its existence in the last week?

Don't think it's you, it happens every couple of months. It's the same people posting these threads every time, they make new accounts, post a bunch of sexist threads, get banned eventually and come back a couple of months later.

For example either Heartiste or obinobi is almost certainly jamieTT, while SickBrah is some guy who was always going on about moving to Dubai with his petroleum engineering degree and finding a submissive wife

What do you mean poolside?
If the only reason you have for succeeding is external then you lead a sad existence.

Succeed because you want to, because doing well makes you happy. And if you're not fussed about success in the conventional sense fair play, I really couldn't give a ****, less competition for me.

Deze hoes ain't loyal.

An they know how much the alws and government is on their side. So maybe they won't talk about feminism, but they will divorce you and take your kids and your money.

Feminists change society by changing the laws and eventually these laws influence the behaviour of all women. The only way is to kill all the feminists and stop their poison.

Dam forgot about the divorce thing. It's like one person in a relationship having a nuclear bomb and knowing you don't. Bye kids etc.

Hmm. Not so sure now lol

Yeh considering these fem***** are always going on about men wanting power over women they gave themselves the ultimate power play.

As soon as you realise women aren't all that loyal then you realise what ****ty deal marriage is.

If more men did the honourable thing and merked their hoez when they cheat then this problem would solve itself. I know I would.

Women have equality? Have you seen the news recently? The UK has one of the largest pay gaps in the EU, despite the fact that legislation for equal pay has been in place for over forty years!

Hugglyduck. Go on, give us your evidence that it is all down to sexism them.

You have perhaps heard of Dr Helen Smith's book, Men on Strike, which describes how men are dropping out of their traditional roles in society.

As Dalrock pointed out, women are weakening the signal that used to tell men they need to work hard, be responsible, and prepare to financially support a family. Society has created a generation of Peter-Pan man-boys, more interested in porn, computer games, or casual sex rather than leading a family.

Gentlemen - I will see you poolside as we enjoy the decline. Or overseas where feminine, family-oriented young women can still be found.

What if you never wanted to 'support a family'? Some of us are far more interested in spending money on ourselves, after all. Given a choice of:

a) spending my time off sitting at home with woman and kiddy playing with a train-set, or
b) spending my time off on a motorcycling tour of the East African coast and chilling out on deserted sandy beaches sipping pina coladas and taking great photos on my own/with other adult males.

I think it's quite obvious which one I would pick!

Public sector/government jobs and minimum wage jobs pay the same regardless of gender. The pay gap arises from private sector jobs, where there are too many variables to pin it down to purely being about sexism. That being said however, if its a private sector job the company has the right to pay an employee what ever they want as long as it meets national minimum wage.

The government has no place telling companies they have to hire women or what they should be paying people, because the government will not be there to pick up the pieces if the company fails.
What company would miss out on pushing out the men and bringing in women saving themselves a massive 25% on the wage bill?
This is crap that has been disproved over and over by any number of economists.
The gap is down to the choices women make once they start having children and women taking the easier option in their chosen career/life balance.
Women aged18 to 30 that havent had children earn slightly more than men in the same age group.
The most interesting thing about the gender pay gap for me is it shows the power that the feminist lobby has.
No politician or media outlet would dare to call them on the crap put out about the gap. Yet feminists still bleat about being political underdogs.
The truth is they have the ear of every political party, media organisations and ceo of all major corporations.
They are a political Goliath pretending to be a David.

Someone doesn't know how the wage gap works and blames it on sexism.

If you need women as an incentive to try and be successful then that is just sad. Although the fact you used the phrase "leading a family" sort of says it all.

Wait a second, you don't think the man of the family should lead the family?

I suppose you want to see all men feminised.

Men are built to be leaders and decision makers.
