Hey everyone. Got a link here for a supposedly original painting by picasso, oil on board, went for £346.89. Does anyone think this could be a fake, it is signed by picasso, but then again, would it not be selling for a bit more than an expensive camera??

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=019&item=290027162846&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

The signature looks like Picaso.

It's not real.

If it was, it wouldn't be on eBay, I can assure you.

ditto and it would go for 350 quid, its a fake
It may be real - Picasso did lots of paintings. It looks like a good dealer and it is an antiques dealer wiith good feedback. Personally I don't think it's one of his best paintings so it could sell cheaper. Picasso only died in the 60s or 70s, its not like his work is comparable to DaVinci or Van Gogh.

No? Three of the 10 most expensive paintings ever sold were Picasso's.

I think she meant as in age and rarity. I agree though, there's no way that could be real...I'm sure the buyer must have known that though - it's realistic for an oil replica to go for that amount, isn't it?

I'm selling stuff on ebay atm as a wardrobe clearout, most of it ending tonight...it's not selling very well :frown:
If it were real, at the very least it's worth tens of thousands.

The dealer would know this. There's no way they'd let it got for £350.

If it looks to good to be true...

I'd be demanding verification of its authenticity from a Fine Arts expert.

it's bull****. anyone who thinks that is real is silly.

ANYONE could have painted that and ANYOUNE could have forged his signature.
I find it funny how they found it behind another painting when re-framing... wtf?! lol
My grandmum has a genuine Picasso, its just a hand painted plate from when he was a 'street artist' but im guessing it must still be very valuable since it was done by picasso, though she does not think so.

One of his paintings sold for £58 million, (the most expensive painting ever sold) anything done by him is worth millions, there is no artist whos art is worth more then his! He has 4-5 painting that have sold for over £20 million

you lot are morons, you think just because its on ebay and selling cheap it MUST be fake, get a grip, just because he was a famous painter it doesn't mean every single piece he did is worth thousands upon thousands. This coupled with the fact that none of you know sweet FA about the price of fine art, means that you all sound stupid.
