SOAS applicants 2015 thread

Hey there guys

Wondering if anyone is planning to/has applied to SOAS this year? I thought it would be nice if we could write down what we've applied to, predicted grades, and if you get an offer (obviously once applications are sent off and everything).

Applied for - International Relations/IR and History
Predicted - A*AA (Already achieved A*A)
Offer - TBA

It would be awesome if I could meet some fellow IR applicants!

I'm applying to Korean and Japanese, and Korean and Chinese.
Predicted Grades - A*AA

Fairly misleading since Korean can only be studied as the minor subject here... I plan to enter at intermediate level in Korean though, rather than beginner. Still can't choose Japanese or Chinese so I'm leaving my options open! And SOAS is my top choice anyway so I guess applying twice can't hurt..?><
Anyone else applying to languages?

I'm hoping to combine International Relations with Arabic  so I guess so! Japanese is awesome - in my school it was compulsory until Year 9 aha! Have you visited SOAS?
Hey guys! I applied for Social anthropology with Politics but haven't received anything as yet! Not even a reception e-mail!

ooh damn, 12 weeks, that's a hell of a wait! Where else have you applied? And no aha, SOAS tend to be late, but oh well!
I'm applying for History & Politics with a prediction of 39 IB points. 776 in my higher levels. With an A prediction in my Extended Essay on the Socialist regime in Cuba and Marxism.
Soas is so great, I really love the events too - Like the Thomas Sankara day last week, it was so cool!

yayyy another IR applicant  and nope, i think everyone on the thread hasn't recieved acknowledgements... SOAS is a really slow uni when it comes to the entire process :frown:
I visited on the open day and went to the Languages and Cultures Taster Day, I love it!!! it feels like such a great campus and atmosphere^^ like a little community in London where there is no real community  and I love the library and JCR!
Yeah SOAS is definitely my first choice, which is annoying because like everyone has said, they can take a while to get back to you :frown:
that's so cool that you had to do Japanese! I did Mandarin for a little while in school but I switched to French before GCSE and now I can't comprehend why I did that!
I applied last week~~ good luck to everyone!
Hi!
