I can't imagine myself being in a relationship with a uni tutor. Firstly it will depend on his age and secondly it wouldn't feel right.

I think actually the generic student/tutor relationship (ostensibly the acceptable kind) often offers the kind of environment that a deeper relationship can flourish in.
Students often admire their tutors and look up to them intellectually. Tutors could in turn feel flattered by the admiration.

But some of my tutors were so... unusual that i couldn't imagine any kind of relationship with them!

Lol nah seriously now - I suppose it depends on his age. If he was like, 25 and I'm 19 then I'd probably consider it. Might well wait til after graduation though. In any case, I doubt something like that would ever happen to me considering I much prefer people my own age lol.

No not at all, a school teacher could sleep with a 16 year old that is at the same school. The teacher would not get in trouble with the law, however because of the position of authority and trust, its frowned upon by the school as taking advantage and so the teacher will get sacked for it.

My form tutor when i was in year 12 got sacked for this! I dont know what universities veiws are on this, if it is your personale tutor they may very well end up losing their jobs over it, if the memeber of staff does not have any connection to you in this way, then maybe the university wont frown upon it so much.
