New job asking for bank statement/utililty bill as proof of address watch

    I don't pay bills as I still live with my parents, so I'm going to have to provide a bank statement. Is this usual? I'm not 100% comfortable with my bank details/balance being out there

    As far as I'm aware it is normal. You could go into your local branch and ask for your last single transaction. Signed by them and it is fine.

    Just colour it in with black pen or something only leaving your name and address.
