    Hi Can anyone help explain how the aptitude tests were/ how to do well? Strengths, numerical and verbal?

    Hi, iv'e done the EY online tests twice so far ( and will be doing them again at an assessment centre next week). For both numerical and verbal you will have 6 minutes to answer 8 questions. Typically for the numerical there will be a diagram/graph with questions asked based on that. For the verbal there will be one or two passages of writing and questions will be asked such as:

    Which of the following words would best replace "x" in the sentence?
    What is the overall message from the passage?
    Is "x" true or false based on the passage?

    In my experience the numerical section is very simple compared to other Big 4 firm tests. I personally find the verbal harder but all you can do is practice as much as possible. If you go to the Saville Consulting website they will have practice test for you to try. Also look on other website such as Graduate Wings or GraduatesFirst.
