Seeing that everyone is doing it:
Interesting we've both gone for the Power to the People stuff :holmes:

Only the Greens and Labour appear to even be attempting to resolve the unfolding constitutional crisis across the UK, and Labour's proposals - much like in RL, actually - remain vague. Though I'm impressed by some of Labour's other commitments; if the Greens weren't an option I'd probably endorse Labour based on that manifesto.
I'm not convinced devolution is such an issue here - doesn't work too well with the game considering there are no model devolved assemblies to disagree with us. That's why the Liberals have instead instigated plans to directly make our whole nation more democratic, by giving the people the right to demand a referendum and the Government the responsibility to respect the result.

Socialists - Your manifesto sickens me. It gave me a vision of North Korea.
You mean the decentralisation, pacifist foreign policy and free tuition?

To all parties, but particularly Labour, what is your stance on Tony Blair's comments that ground troops shouldn't be ruled out in Iraq?

I'm sorry but you quite literally stole the slogan we have been using for as long as I've been in the MHoC, so what you really mean is "We realised your wisdom oh clever one. The Libertarian Party is the best thing to grace this earth and we can only aim to be slightly as good as you."

True enough, on here it's non-existent. I suppose I relate TSR politics much more to real life - I think it's more interesting that way.

I don't think Tony Blair's attitude to Middle East affairs is one shared by members of TSR Labour.

I'm actually quite surprised by the manifesto's in terms of layout, I was seeing that most parties were moving towards posting their manifesto as a picture so they could do fancy graphics and assumed we'd be the only text based one, but it seems we are taking a step back.

    Labour! :dance::dance::dance:

    Tory: How about no?
    Green: Great ideas, great design.
UKIP: Manifesto can't have been that good if they needed a 2nd...
Liberal: Ok, but sounds a little confused.
Socialist: Sounds a bit too left for my taste but can't really fault it.
Libertarian: Wants to continue our good work. Thanks.
Matthew: Good ideas, but you need a party to achieve them.

It was me who used the slogan, and I've only been here three months and unfortunately did not research in any great detail the history of Libertarian manifestos Still, is it not a positive that we agree on the sentiment and want to work to decentralise politics and move away from the politicians - after all, it is not either of us that really matter in a democracy!

I personally believe it's more interesting when there is actually some consequence to our plans, but I do see your point. Tis a shame we have no way of simulating outcomes from devolution and other such proposals.

Every manifesto from the left is near identical. You could remove the names, put the writing in a standard font and colour, and no one would be able to say which manifesto belongs to which left wing party.
Libs, libers and Tories weren't that different.

UKIP stands out because of all the anti-EU stuff.

Uhm... it's only 6 words below the limit?
    (Original post by MacDaddi)
Yes it does, went for a different kind of manifesto this time. Lists get boring, we wanted a chat with the electorate
In that case it really shows how much space we waste, good and concise content.

It's worth noting in the House that the Tories (mainly me tbh) are the only ones who actually have a record of devolving power here to any real degree.

Do you agree with our proposal to cut off the RI?

I'm not sure how you've got that we want to continue in the vein of a Labour government from our maniesto, I've no clue what you actually did last term but Libertarian philosophy and Labour values are entirely incompatible?

    Oooh are we doing songs,

    1.God save our gracious Queen,
    Long live our noble Queen,
    God save The Queen!
    Send her victorious,
    Happy and glorious,
    Long to reign over us,
    God save The Queen.
    2.Thy choicest gifts in store
On her be pleased to pour,
    Long may she reign;
    May she defend our laws,
    And ever give us cause
To sing with heart and voice,
    God save The Queen!
    3.God bless our native land,
    May heaven's protective hand
    Still guard our shore;
    May peace her power extend,
    Foe be transformed to friend,
    And Britain's power depend
    On war no more.
    4.May just and righteous laws
    Uphold the public cause,
    And bless our isle.
Home of the brave and free,
    Fair land and liberty,
We pray that still on thee
    Kind heaven may smile.
    5.And not this land alone-
    But be thy mercies known
    From shore to shore.
    Lord, make the nations see
    That men should brothers be,
    And from one family
    The wide world o'er.
