I disagree that you need to support a party to get your legislation through. Yes, in the case of an independent you do need the support of a party but like I said, you can't just rely on 10 other Labour MPs to back your legislation to pass it can you?

We'll have to agree to disagree regarding serving your electors I guess.
Voting for an independent isn't a lost cause, but you certainly don't need to vote for one in order to be better represented. If a party manifesto fits your views you'd be better served voting for them. Unless you're voting Tory. Then vote indie instead

So then to borrow the phrase you used in the thread surrounding the right to recall, its ideal in RL, but totally pointless on TSR so is it not a case that you're promising to do something you've already done or already had a big part in the consultations of which.
I support RL right of MP recall and would support a bill to do it. I don't support the suggested TSR application because it's
I support a TSR constitution though because it'd be an interesting project and would create a lot of debate as per the details, the human rights involved etc. Debate is of course the whole of pint of the MHoC.

So that's not a reasonable comparison.

Moving back to the republic, would you use the chance of a republic should it have public support to move for a root and branch relaunch of the TSR MHoC game?
    Probably not.

The whole pint? That's the Bar you mean

If you wake up without a hangover your position may have changed when you've sobered up.

We've already got a TSR Constitution. Yes a RL one would be worth discussion, but so would the discussion surround the right to recall, or are you frightened 15 people may not like you

    Probably not.

Great idea in RL, not convinced on it here.
Same Q goes to the point about a constitution then really doesn't it. What's the point in Labour making a promise to legislate for something which essentially they know is changing nothing. Is it a Cosmetic Manifesto you're proposing

That in all honesty tends to be fairly organic, the ideas come along as and when, if they get support and traction then we go for them. We're transitioning as it is under Ray's leadership so we haven't done any comprehensive plan.
Fair point that Ray is new to his post but you all said during the Abolition of the Monarchy Bill that that was a Bill you'd been working on as a government for the whole term, surely it wasn't a case that the morning after TBM was appointed prime minister the light bulb switched on about dumping the sovereign.

 That's what happens when your enagaged in 3/4 simultaneous convos.

A RL one would be a massive event. MP recall only really works in a constituency based system (where I support it, as I've said). In the list-system MHoC an MP is accountable to his party, which has been elected and is therefore accountable to the people. Its just not worth it.

    Out of interest why?
Don't see the point. Might change my mind.

When does anything done on here actually change anything?

I've gone onto the Gov't subforum - 19th of April we started discussing it.

Every so often the light bulb does switch on though, I'm not going to lie.

You either like a generous 0.6l glass of beer or are mathematically minded as it's 0.032mls up on the standard British 0.568l glass of beer.

    That's not right. 0.032 L up, that's 32 ml.

And with that I'll pause for tonight! And get my 568.32mls on the cornflakes tomorrow and think can we up the bidding to 601ml
