Hi, I've just started my A levels and I am finding it alright, I am studying media, business, sociology and psychology. I was planning to go to university but I'm not sure, the courses I have chosen was nothing to do with what i want to do in uni but simply because i enjoyed it. I have a lot of questions; would a degree really get me a better job? what shall I do with my gap year? whats the point of going uni? can't i just do an apprenticeship instead of going uni?

It depends on what course you wanted to do as to see which option is the best. For example if you wanted to do something with business it may be better to do an apprenticeship. Also next year when you apply to university you can decline the offer if you wanted to do a gap year. A degree should get you a better job but it depends what you want to do. Feel free to ask any more questions if you have any

Without looking it up, you could probably get into:
  • Media and Communication
  • Film Studies
  • Digital Film Production [or any practical-based film course]
  • Psychology
  • Sociology
  • Any kind of Social Science course really
  • Courses that expand on any topic you studied in Psychology/Sociology [Education?]

I know a friend of mine has psychology/sociology/graphics as their A2's and they're looking at Sociology and Politics combined.
