I'm going to Uni this weekend but am worried that people might think I'm weird or a loner because I'm not on any social networking site. I've never found facebook etc that interesting and since I don't have a big social circle I don't use it - which might be a cause or effect of not using it The amount of true friends I have I could count on one hand... so I doubt i'll have about 500+ 'friends'. Should I just join facebook now? or is it a bit late and is it becoming uncool? what should I join? thanks x

Be true to YOURSELF. Don't change to try and fit in. If you want Facebook get it but if you don't feel it in your heart to desire an account don't sign up. My fAcebbok depresses me any time I go on it as I realise how much fun my friends seem to be having at university and there I am typing away on TSR. Not being on Facebook will not make a difference in the long run. You can find your friends and text instead.

honestly its fine not having FB, you're going to be talking to your flatmates like everyone else... it's just you may be less aware of events etc
