Is IGCSE Physics&A-Level Maths important to have if you want a career in Biology? watch

    Neither are an absolute requirement for many careers in a biological field. Physics could be beneficial in some areas but you would really need to carry it through to A level to make a significant difference. Maths is important in every scientific discipline and so taking maths beyond gcse at least to AS is advantageous.

    Yeah do physics at GCSE.

    A-level maths is not required for a career in biology though.
    It may help as maths A-level can really open doors for a lot of Uni courses.

    Have you done a degree in Biology etc and haven't taken Physics?

    Actually yes. I did biochemistry at a Russell group uni. Didn't do physics at O level or A level.
    Worked in the pharmaceutical industry and elsewhere and now I teach maths.

    Over 21 and yes I did
    O levels were still available outside of the UK long after gcse replaced them here
