I'm about to start my third year at uni and I just got my timetable today. For two of my classes I am completely by myself. This makes me super nervous, I'm usually with my friends in classes but this just makes me feel uneasy all the time. I keep thinking about being alone and having no one to talk to (I don't know very many people on my course). The worst thing is, that in the first seminar , we have to 'introduce' ourselves to the class in a 'creative way'. Now, I'm really quiet and shy and this is just driving me crazy. I literally don't want to turn up to my seminar in the first week but I'm worried we might be put into our presentation groups.

Any advice on how to be less nervous?

Introduce yourself in writing or in British sign language. At least you wouldn't have to speak, plus with the latter you'd learn something too.
