    I'm 19. GCSEs A*-C. 3 A levels around 300 UCAS points . AAT Level 3 in accounting. I chose not to go university despite being accepted.

    The first question I have is I applied for level 2 apprenticeships but nobody seems interested in me and I do have some work experience. Why not?

    I can't find any higher apprenticeships. Is there any open in September?

    I have no career. But have the qualifications. Any advice would be appreciated. Should I approach firms directly and ask them?

    Could you be over qualified for the level 2 apprenticeships?

    A lot of apprenticeship programmes will not open until later on in the academic year. Have you looked at http://www.apprenticeships.org.uk/be...prentice.aspx? There will be lists of current vacancies on there.

    I thought I could just take the AAT route to becoming charted but no luck getting a higher apprenticeship. I'm willing to do anything now. Could I not do a level 3 in IT or something or is it useless me applying because i am overqualified. Frustrating nobody even replies because I already have A level and a level 3.

    Also, have you looked at the AAT page on Higher Apprenticeships? http://www.aat.org.uk/qualifications...apprenticeship

    Have you tried applying for the big4 school leaver schemes? You seem to have the prerequisite grades for them.

    I don't think I stand a chance with top 4 if I'm being honest. But no harm in trying.

    Hi vivaronaldoo, I myself was looking at apprenticeships a couple of years ago and finding them on your own can be really tricky. If I were you I'd chat to an AAT advisor (Live Chat on the right hand side of the page) - I've met the team and they're really helpful about this kind of thing.

    Alternatively, I know our team work really hard to match the right people to the right opportunities, so you could always pop your CV over to us?
