Friends leaving for uni tomorrow - devastated

Two of my best friends in the whole world are leaving for uni tomorrow, and I'm not going for another two weeks. We just had a farewell meal and I didn't realise just how sad I was going to be. I'm crying my eyes out. Saying goodbye to them and knowing I'm not seeing them for three months is the worst thought ever. I feel so low. Sorry, just had to get that off my chest.

*hug* I know, I had a farewell party before I left, and I was really upset the next day while I was putting the finishing touches to my packing and stuff. Still, as they're good friends of yours, the friendship's bound to stay strong for a good while yet, and you'll meet fantastic new people when you do go to uni! Good luck :smile:

I had friends before I went to uni. I havent seen them since and now Ive graduated.

Friends are overrated, its too easy to get new ones.

Im off tomorrow, first one of my friends, only 3 of us are going, most are staying at home.

I really dont want to go, I cant cope without them.

Im so woriied i wont make friends, I never have made friends easily, but I have a group of 7 of us who are so close knit, I am so so so wrooied i will lose contact with them.

You'll get over it me and my 3 best mates did the same thing last friday, they went, i was gutted at the time but im not arsed now tbh, it passes. Just hate being the last one here! a week to go!

Yeah its so weird isnt it. One of my mates came up to me at the end of a party yesterday and he was like "well im off tomorrow, ill see you in december" I was just like what :frown:

I feel the same.All my friends have sodded off back to uni and I have another 2 weeks until I start.It's the gay.

I feel low too but I've realised over the last year(they are 2nd years now,I'll be starting 1st...) that people soon move on and make new friends and their old friends feature less in their lives....

I'm just going to be sooo bored for 2 weeks :frown:

Christmas soon comes around anyway.

I can imagine how u feel, im feeling that right now at the thought of it and im just in year 13 so no uni for another year, dont worry though, you WILL keep in touch cos it sounds like your friendship is so strong, you'll see eachother every holiday and talk on the phone and make loadsa new friends at uni.
spend the next two weeks getting ready for uni, talking to loadsa other friends and sleeping!!

A lot of my mates have been going this week... I miss them, but I think moreso because I am getting bored on my own - it's 2 weeks until I go. Although I am going abroad for a week so hopefully that should take my mind off it lol.
