Just take a paracetamol or other painkiller to help you sleep. If it's still there in a day or two see a doctor

Sounds like indigestion, wouldn't worry bout it unless it hangs around for more than 24 hrs.

Probably not, but if it continues or if you develop other symptoms, particularly nausea and/or vomiting, check with your doctor ASAP to make sure it's not appendicitis. But odds are, it'll go away on it's own...if it's gas, you can help the bubble along if you walk around, and when you're lying down, try to roll from side to side.

Hope this helps, feel better!

Hey guys,
Just went to climb into bed and as soon as I lay on my back and turned off the lights I started getting a panging, sharp pain in my right side, just below my ribs but definitely on the right hand side of my body, localised ina reasonably small area.

It hurts too much to sleep, ive already tried. Now sitting sipping water and getting worried about what the hell is going on. Any ideas? Its like having a stomach ache but condensed into a small area on my right side..

take a paracetamol and hope everything'll be alright ;console;

Thanks guys, ive taken some ibuprofen and its still painful but I MIGHT be able to sleep now. I think it might be a trapped nerve as massaging the area temporarily helped.

Got a bit scared due to the fact it came on suddenly when i lay down to sleep, but that makes trapped nerve/pulled muscle even MORE likely, as opposed to something serious.

Thanks all!

hows the pain?

appendicitis? Can cool off when pressure is applied or hurt more, but it may just be indigestion or just simply muscle strain, twill probably go in time, just keep up the paracetomol and good luck with everything :smile: xxx

on the right hand side just under the ribs could be liver but hopefully its just a random bit of muscle strain instead
