St Aidans freshers!

Hey everyone, Did any other aidans freshers get there accomodation info this morning- I did wooo! If so what room have u been allocated? Im in single room B85... do any current aidanites know where abouts this is, curve/straight?

I got mine this morning too. I'm B32 - same corridor as you - a single room which is what i wanted. Is it in the refurbished bit?

thats a newish room in teh curves i think, they go up to about C108 or sumthing and anything in the lower numbers is on the straights or extension

What's the difference between curves and straights? Does that mean B32 will be on a straight and refurbished?

Is anyone really worried about all these party outfits and fancy dress outfits to find??

Hi. I really wouldnt worry about it because I think we'll have loads of time during the week to pop and out buy anything we need. I havent got outfits for most of them and I think most people will be in the same position. Cant wait! I havent spoken 2 anyone on C curve tho so Im beginning to wonder if I have it all to myself lol

curves and straights are just opposite sides to eachother wid a grass area in the middle
The low numbers for B and A straight are the "ghetto" named cus theyre lacking a bit of refurbishment :tongue:

am pretty sure B32 is in the ghetto; good for corridor parties btw!
All the other rooms are pretty similar though!

B32 is definately in the ghetto, sorry!! it is at the better end (well, just under half way down the corridor!) rather than having to trek down the entire thing like i had to! and i think they've redone bits of it - so either bathrooms/kitchen/part of the room will be new (lucky!)

really?! aweseome! whoever was asking about b105, its halfway down b-curve, one of the shared rooms. Two people i know lived in it in 04-05. they were called jo and ellie. they lived three doors down from me. i was in b102.

well, I just got mine and I'm in with Catherine Cooke in B38 which has its own en-suite, yes! And I called because I was sure it was in the ghetto and apparently it's not!

if its not in the ghetto, then it means you're in the disabled room at the end of the first part of the B corridor (refurbished bit)
you bathroom is bigger than most peoples' rooms!! but you have to go down to the ghetto to find any freshers (the rest of the corridor is 3rd years)

O no! I really didn't want the 'ghetto' bit. I did put on the bottom of my form that I liked the quiet for studying and sleeping. I don't think I want parties in the corridors and the room i went into down there on the open day wasn't very nice. I'm really gutted now but i suppose im going to have to live with it.
