Yeast Infection (One for the ladies :p)

Hey I recently 'realised' I have a yeast infection down to a build up of heat and moisture 'down there' (It's been a hot summer!) I'm just wondering if any other girls have had this and if so how they dealt with it?! Aaany help would be useful because I really want it to gooo :p:

i think the canestan pill (flucanazole) is the best thing which comes with cream which is good. but if u can wait till monday just go to the docs and get it on prescription. or stick some live yoghurt down there on a tampon if u dont wana pay for medicine

between the legs for 4 hours...... should do the trick

I dunno, doesn't sound like a proven method, how would that work? A Yeast infection is somewhat internal and causes embarassing erm 'inflmations', thanks for the tip but I was looking for something that sounds a little more reliable :p:

As for the doctors, I'm not sure I want someone swabbing me down there lol but ooh canestan sounds good, don't people use that for thrush?! I'll give that a go :smile:

Not really, thrush generally is a feeling of itchiness and a reddish rash, a yeast infection has painful sores, a yeasty smell and whitish mucus...lovely.
You may mean oral thrush which is a yeast infection in the mouth :confused:

Hmm I dunno, I've had a mild case of thrush before (you can tell my immune system is a tad crap :p:

) And I never had the mucus, I know it was mild but it was literally the itchiness and the rash. If thrush and a yeast infection were the same there'd be no point in diferentiating the two, I think it's really the smell that gives it the title, and maybe because a yeast infection can be caused by over eating on sugar and bread, whereas thrush cannot...

they're just two different names for it really, americans only use the word yeast infection for it, and call only use thrush for oral thrush. silly immune systems eh. anyways just go for the canestan if your sure its a yeast infection/thrush not anythin else
