Can anyone please explain to me what magnetic damping is?? What is the difference between magnetic and electromagnetic damping?

Same phenomena generated in different ways:

Damping simply means inhibiting free motion; (for instance: modifying simple harmonic oscillation or free-fall acceleration due to gravity).

Magnetic (in the context of damping motion) refers to the magnetic field generated by permanent magnets.

Electromagnetic refers to a magnetic field generated by induction. i.e. a current passing through a solenoid for instance.
