    Flash is OK, but your splash page needs changing - it uses times new roman (a serif font, which should never be used on the web, except in unique circumstances). The splash page in general looks messy.

    The flash is OK, like I said but design your site with 800 x 600 in mind. around 40% of web users still use this resolution - do you really want to make your site look crap for nearly half of all web users?

    Get rid of the massive black borders around the content too!

    thats a shame No it was the IKEA at Wednesbury, I did do work experience at Giltbrook though, but only painted the walls (boring). I worked there for 2 years on checkouts and then in pricing.

    try

    <div id="enter">
    <a href="start.html">
    <img name="enter" src="images/enter.gif" alt="click to enter"/>
    </a>
    </div>

    <a href="start.html"><img src="../images/enter.gif" alt="click to enter" /></a>

    I am not sure what the name is being used for. Is that apart of the style sheet?

    I think the preblem is you need to tell it to look in the route directly hence

    ../images

    rather than just images/

    No didn't work, I don't understand it, as the following works;

    <div id="macromedia">
    <a href="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/...ShockwaveFlash">
    <img name="macromedia" src="images/getflash.gif" alt="macromedia flash player"/>
    </a>

    and it is pretty much the same. I have checked the directory again and again, and the file is definitely spelt the same, and is definitely there

    It most likely will be, that happened to me before. Check the domain name of the email. The BBC won't offer people jobs without even interviewing that person.

    Yeah I had an email from some company wanting me to develop them a fully serverside database driven website. It turned out to be a brother of a girl I used to chat too online. He was 16 and had lots of spots. He didn't even have a job let alone own a company. I was so angry.

    I think it is someone messing about, because there is nothing on the BBC website, and why would they want a visual merchandiser (window dressing mostly) If i find out who it is I will be sooo annoyed, I am stressed out enough as it is about not having a job for when I finish uni next month, without dissapointments like this. :mad:

    Erm sorry to break it to you, but most likely complete and utter *******s. How did the BBC find a site not on any search engines? Do grad recruitment at the Beeb sit on uk-l all day? £30k starting salary at the Beeb?! Since broadcast journos start on 16k, 18k in London. A position which happens to be in exactly what you say you want a career in? Any kid on here could have done it, since your number's on your website.

    On the other hand, people do get lucky occasionally - Beeb came across my website and gave me a call last September...

    your right, and the beeb only give 6 month contracts. The URL is on some job sites I am registered with, I mean I could be lucky, but i doubt it very much now, thinking on. I mean what a coincidence that the phone call comes shortly after posting on here. Do people not care about feelings, i'm desperate for a job and after trying so hard for months I don't need this knid of ****..

    How about you name and shame which ever scum did it? Publish the email address on here and every one of us will add it to a porn mail spam list. It will certainly teach them a lesson.
