How about you name and shame which ever scum did it? Publish the email address on here and every one of us will add it to a porn mail spam list. It will certainly teach them a lesson.

Argh right, it was most likely to have been widtheld anyway. Its probably an idea not to have your phone number on there.

Well it needs to be really for genuine companies to get in touch. But I am only going to give the url in job applications/ contact/ job search cv's from now on, as you may have noticed I have removed it from my sig, and the first message.
Just say phone number "on request by email" - definitely take your mobile off, as you could get SMS-spammed.

yes take your mobile off. Also I like the site but if you are looking for recruitment I didnt think the "love Sharon" in the thanks was very professional. I know its a matter of personal opinion and I dont know whether I'm the only one that feels that way but it would be like having love on your CV, which I think is way too informal.

this is my (badly in need of updating) professional site

As you can see the langauge I've used is very plain but have included stuff about my hobbies.

Erm sorry to break it to you, but most likely complete and utter bollocks. How did the BBC find a site not on any search engines? Do grad recruitment at the Beeb sit on uk-l all day? £30k starting salary at the Beeb?! Since broadcast journos start on 16k, 18k in London. A position which happens to be in exactly what you say you want a career in? Any kid on here could have done it, since your number's on your website.

On the other hand, people do get lucky occasionally - Beeb came across my website and gave me a call last September...

Well if your call was based on arrogance alone Jools - you will go far!

How about offering support rather than trying to big yourself up (and looking like a d!ck inthe process?)

And how'm I supposed to offer support regarding being seemingly duped into a hoax call? The otoh comment was showing that the situation is occasionally possible rather than 'bigging myself up'.

You're not poor Shazza though, are you!

Shazza - I hope it goes well. Good luck! Everyone deserves a break!

 But she didn't get a break, it was a hoax (surely)...

Btw f1 read through my earlier posts and you'll see I'm here to help people, especially those going to uni or thinking of careers, rather than some sort of self-congratulatory venture.

PS Lol Viviki, on Opera browser your avatar is insane, it's 10 times faster.

I mean generally - with her website, as I do belive was the reason for this post. Als in life. Everyone deserves a break. I hope who ever set her up gets theirs. I believe in what goes round comes round, so I'm sure they will!
