I'v been reading about this relatively new course offered at University of Nottingham and am wondering if it is a good alternative to medicine?
However I cant seem to find a lot of current info about the course from current students.
Can you please tell me:

  • Whats the course like? Do you spend a lot of time with medicine students?
  • How is this course viewed? Do you feel like a medical student or a wannabe? It seems like there is a lot of similarities between the courses, especially in Year 1
  • IMPORTANT: Has anyone ever successfully transferred from this course to the medicine course?
  • Lastly: I'm a little confused about it being based in Royal Derby Hospital(?) What does this mean exactly?
Does this mean that you're not around/involved with the main Nottingham university campus/other students?
Is there a lot of practical work like in a medical degree?
