Nipple Piercing... good or bad?

My sisters friend had it done. It still hurt her 2 years after she had it done. Especially when she wanted to breast feed her baby, it got infected.

no i don't like them and it's not as if a lot of people are gonna see it (unless you make a habit of walking around topless in public) so i would say it's a waste of money. Hey but if you like them go ahead it's up to you if you like them :biggrin:

it's an individual thing really. It is very prone to infection and could take a year to heal properly. This is because of friction. Any where that agrees to doing it at 16 is irresposible, I'd wait 'till you're 18. If you grow more it could tear.
My friend had it done but said it was to sensitive and everytime her fella touched it she felt nauseous. She didn't have it long!
one of my other friends though loves hers!
I think it looks a lot better than most facial piercings.
but wouldn't reccomend it 'till your 18 at least.

If you want it, get it. Does it really matter what a bunch of strangers on the internet think?

And despite the law being 16, I don't know any reputable piercers who will do a nipple piercing on a female before they're 18, unless they're a very regular customer and know their piercer quite well.

I'm not sure why everyone seems to be saying they get infected easily; that mainly depends on your aftercare. Take good care of them and they should be fine, although they do tend to take a while to heal.

Do you know that i got exactly the same gcse grades and a level grades as you angelil. That is absolutely weird. Anyway just think you're going to have a hole in your nipple for the rest of your life. Do you reckon that at sixteen you can really think about how you're going to feel about it when you're breast feeding or when you're sixty, getting breast screenings with a fuc*ed up nipple or when you're eighty and etc... Sorry but i'm just telling you straight

i agree! who care what everyone thinks, if you want it get the peircing.
everyone saying that it get infected easily is probably putting the oringal poster off of getting it done.
any peircing you get has risk of infection, as long as you look after it and wash it with saltly water and stuff your peircing will heal in no time.
im thinking about getting mine dont soon...but oww.

who care if not alot of people see it? you know its there and you like the peircing so it should matter if noone else can see it. people dont get peircings based on if people can see it or not.

They don't have a higher chance of getting infected than any other piercing, but are known for their relatively long healing time.

You really should wait until your breasts have finished growing before getting it done though. And if you have large breasts, you're best getting it done with a bar, not a ring.

Because some people do things for themselves, not other people? I get my piercings for me, because I like them...my boyfriend hates my stretched ears, my ex hated pretty much all my piercings. I have 13 piercings, none of them are usually visible...all piercings hurt and to be honest, no piercing really has a higher chance than any other of becoming infected (except things such as handweb piercings, which generally aren't a viable piercing anyway).

And an advantage = increased sensitivity for the girl, which of course can be great if you're not very sensitive there at all...if you are, it can get too much though sometimes.

I had both of mine done at one point, took them out and within a month you could hardly tell I ever had them pierced, now you can't tell at all.

I found mine...problematic. They didn't totally heal in two years and I looked after them well...But they get caught on your bra/clothes if you're not really careful, and then you're left with bleeding/weeping nipples :frown:

and personally they made me way too sensitive, it was quite painful...

And it hurts like hell.

But I still like them and have been thinking about having mine redone vertically...Hmm.

Is a nipple piercing right on the nipple on the skin around it, god it would haurt, cant bear to think about it and im a boy. Nipples are sensitive

my boyfriend isnt too keen on peircings either.
i know he doesnt think much of nipple peircings but im still gonna get my nipple peirced and the other peircings i want because i want them.
