How old are you? My relationship with my parents is very good, but it only got very good over the past year or two, it could be that in time it will get better.

I wasn't a very happy 15-16 year old and was quite difficult to live with, but then I changed a few things in my life and became a lot happier, and in turn found it easier to get on with my parents, also my older sister left home, which made our household a bit less stressed.

Well one of you has to make the first move so why not you? Offer to cook dinner or something. When she asks what you want, why you're doing it be honest. Tell her you want to improve your relationship.

More or less, ideal.
Always been very good but terrible on the secret sharing side, I'm a complete closed book when it comes to my parents. Daughters and Mums are always strenuous relationships but I think it only lasts from roughly 14-18, then you really grow up a bit lol and realise the old cliche 'your parents just want the best for you'. Just try and avoid petty arguments and see yourself through their eyes and try and see where it may be going wrong...Good luck with everything xxx
