Already have the ticket. I don't mind paying that for the taxi :p:

Warwick university is very far from Warwick and hence Warwick station. It is actually in Coventry, and taxi from Coventry train station would be about £7-8, taxi from Coventry Pool Meadow coach/bus station about £8-10.

It'll cost £30-50 then. The train will probably stop at coventry or leamington spa anyway. Get off there and it'll be substantially less.

It stops at Leamington Spa, I know that :s:

There's regular buses from both Coventry and Leamington. It's nowhere near Warwick. Taxi from Leamington station will be about £15-20 (never done it in the daytime!) or about a tenner from Cov.

if you're coming down from bolton i'm pretty certain the train will go via coventry (done the run myself as I had an assessment centre up there back in june).

So just get off the train in cov. Pay £10 tops then, quicker than going to warwick too.

you could always take the bus...

Anyone how much/long it would take to go to Birmingham? (for weekends)

I think the train is about 30 min and £3 for return...

Reply 12

Oh frig it, I'll go get my ticket exchanged for a Coventry one on Wednesday.

Reply 13

lmao... theyve all scared you!

I doubt it'll be much more than a tenner. And if you thin it's going to be, tell the driver you want him to speed up lol.

I remember a taxi back to uni from Keniliworth being about £30, now Warwick is alot further away than that, so no, it really will be expensive. A taxi from Coventry to uni should be under £10.

How much do you reckon it will be from pool meadows bus station in coventry to leamington spa by taxi? ...by local bus transit?

Reply 16

taxi- £20-30.

Bus- couple of £ tops.

Or just take a train from cov train station for £3 or so.

The bus is cheap as chips, and the bus drivers are pretty lenient. Many times when i was caught short of change i would just look at the driver with a 'Im a poor destitute student' face and they let you on for free  They hardly ever check for tickets.

Fraudulant use of the bus service aside, although there is a 'time table' of sorts its complete dogs nads. its more a case of get there, and wait for one to arrive. On cold sundays, that can be a very very long time.
