Well you know what....if it bothers you so much report it to a moderator instead of taking all this effort to whine how it's in the wrong place. Be pro-active or be silent.

How the hell does that help? If I report it, the mods have to move it, which makes more work for them.

Then the OP complains, which makes even more work for them.

Then another new person comes along and posts about perfume in health and relationships instead of fashion and beauty or wherever it should be, because they don't realise it doesn't belong here because no one is setting any strict rules for this forum and there are no examples, like this one, of threads that shouldn't be here.

It's their job to do that and you can't expect them to read every single thread - they do sometimes need our help.

The OP apologised and is fine with the thread being moved to the relevant sub-forum.

Why would someone else come along and do the same thing? Perhaps they can use their judgement and place it in a more appropriate sub-forum. If you leave this one here then it just lays down the foundation for more frangrance related threads in H&R.

So are you saying you want it moved or not? Moved: report, Not Moved: no need to reply again about how relevant this is in H&R.

Then neg repped me, clearly thinking he was going to be anonymous. So he's obviously not 'fine' with it.

I want one better. I want this to be removed, or moved, or whatever, and I want it to be obvious to everyone who posts in this forum that such threads should not be posted in here again. Must admit, this almost looks like an acceptable thread, when you look at some others in H&R. It just slipped the other side of what I feel is acceptable in here, but many other things in H&R quite obviously aren't H&R issues either. It's no good just moving them, we need something better.

How do you know it was him? How do you know it wasn't me or anyone else who viewed your post. Unless you've calculated out how how many rep points they can give and how many you've lost or you're a subscriber then you don't know for certain that the negative rep was from the OP.

So what you're really saying is you don't agree with the moderation in the H&R sub-forum and you're jumping on this thread to try and make an example. In that case you should be consistent and proceed to complain in other threads that aren't relevant to the H&R sub-forum, or you could discuss your moderation qualms with the moderator.
