I seem to remember something like this being discussed before, but I couldn't find it when I searched for it... so sorry!
During my mindless searching for Cambridge Natsci stuff on the web (I'm trying to pass the next 2 weeks as quickly as possible) I came across this website:
Looking at the timetable I noticed that 3 of the subjects I want to take fall on the same day, 1 hour after each other! (quantitative bio, chem and evolution). I also realise that each of these lectures are in different buildings around the city.
Is it reasonable/possible to actually get to do these subjects together and get to these lectures on time? What are the chances of the timings changing this year and can I do all this without the use of a bike?
They'll all be near each other, and lectures are 5 past to 5 to, allowing you 10 minutes to walk between lectures. You won't be the only one in this situation so don't worry.
To confirm what apd35 said: I was looking at the Cambridge website today and found this (while searching for the schedules for NatSci Maths). Assuming the locations are correct, it would appear you'll just have to walk from the Downing Site to the Department of Chemistry on the other side of Downing College (and back again). This map shows the locations are pretty much right next to each other.

It won't feel like it when it's Monday morning, and having somehow prised yourself out of bed and struggled through your first lecture, you now have to make the ominous trek at 30C below absolute zero. Especially when you get hit by a cyclist and your hands are too numb to even give him the middle finger!
Nah, you're fine going across Downing site. I'm not looking forward to Tuesdays in Lent term... I have theory of knowledge in Sidgwick Site at 10, then experimental psychology (presumably in Downing Site) at 11, and then back to Sidgwick for liberty and equality at 12.
Ouch, I appear to have the 9 and 10 o'clock lectures every single day, if that timetable reflects what will happen this year too... my LIE-INS!!! *sobs*

I did those three. I survived, and I don't have a bike - I just walked down and up Tennis Court Road. Going through Downing College is a bit of a gamble, there's a gate on the Lensfield Road side which only Downing students have keys for.
Took the words right out of my mouth. And we don't (for first year at least) have crazy lecture theatre swaps.
whaddya mean crazy lecture theatre swaps?! like what? another quick question, wheres the bristol myers squibb lecture thetre? ie in downing site etc. i cant see it for looking

It's in the Chemistry Department, on Lensfield Road. And by crazy lecture theatre swaps I mean that you finish in one place and then have to relocate quickly for another lecture. It may not be far for you to walk on your own, but when there are several hundred people trying to go the same way it gets more complicated.

At least there's a crowd to follow for the first few days, so it's hard to get lost!
