If you have nothing to say, just tell her you just called to say hi and see what she is up to... hopefully it will take off from there. There is always something to say... if not, then I think you may have communication issues.

How can you not have anything to say to her?

Just talk about what you have done since the last time you saw her, what she has been doing, make plans for next time you see each other.

Talk about anything - literally anything that pops into your head.

you should be able to talk to her about anything/
what you're feeling, what she's been up to, what she wants to do with her life, stuff, going out, people.. bla bla bla.
theres endless things you should be able to talk to her about.
