Been good friends fora bout 7 years, been a couple for 6 months.
It's a big step in the relationship, maybe your parents are worried it's too soon.

They said I've thrown my whole life away and how could I do such a thing to them. :frown:
I think they feel shamed of me really, but I don't know how to handle them, because I don't like to see them upset, but on the other hand, I want to move out and I want to go to uni. I want to get out in life on my own now, without parents.
Well your not exactly throwing your life away if your going to University, shows more ambition than anything else.

Then they should respect that. You haven't thrown your life away! They make it sound irreversible, not to mention bad.
I went through the same thing when I moved in with my ex. It was literally hell the week before I moved out, but as soon as I moved they were ok with it. Are you the eldest/only child? With my experience it was that my parents didn't want to let go of their little girl. Once I actually moved though, things went back to normal.

Yeah, I'm an only child, so it makes it difficult for them I know. I hope it goes back to normal soon - and I especially hope they don't try to sabotage the flat. I mean, I know they can't do anything to stop us moving, but they can make it that little bit more difficult. :frown:
But thanks for your reply - I do feel reassured that it'll go back to normal.

are you an only child perchance?

ah ok, that makes sense then. just give it time, they will get used to it eventually.
