I suppose it could affect your ability to concentrate or pain medication could affect your memory/recall
I'd imagine it would be accepted if a doctor wrote a letter detailing how it was affecting you, although I think often with health difficulties people tend to resit later on?

You need to speak to mitigation about it, and see what they say as all unis have different policies on extenuating circumstances.
