Homemade Protein Shakes

Hi all,
I am a pretty poor student and cant really afford that whey protein any more, just wondering if anyone had any good homemade protein shake recipes. I have never tasted a homemade protein shake so please include and consider taste when it comes to thinking up the best concoction, with minimum fat and max protein.
Thanks

200g fat free cottage cheese
1 fat free yoghurt
200ml skimmed milk
A few strawberries or berries or something for extra flavour (optional)

That will give you 35-40g of protein, and has less than 2g of fat. Tastes like a smoothie.

well you dont have to have shakes, u could try grilled chicken, cod, and unsalted nuts or cashews for protein..

Are you happy with eating raw eggs?

If so, just go like me, and whack a couple of raw egg WHITES, powdered milk and flavouring into a blender.

As for the flavouring, you can be as experimental as you like, anything from honey or vanilla essence, right down to milkshake powder.

The main problem with adding flavouring of that nature (such as Nesquik powder) is adding in a lot of unnecessary sugar. Not too bad in moderation, however, but as you say, natural sugars like honey, yoghurt and fruit would be a better choice.

Why can't you afford whey protein? Just get unbranded stuff - it'll probably cheaper than buying food. 4.5kg for about £25 is cheap!

4.5kg for £25, sounds good to me. Could you possibly direct me as to where I can buy that much for so cheap?
