Arctic Monkeys, rant!

They by no means deserve the flack they get. They make ok music and are down to earth guys, they aren't the ones hyping themselves. Blame gash music media like NME and knobbers like Jo Whiley & Zane Lowe. I imagine whatever label they're signed to could shoulder some of the blame too.

Stop saying they are rubbish/overrated whatever.

These are young people who have made a great album. They have shown that they want to keep making good music by releasing an extra EP earlier this year and a new album next year. Most people who have a gripe with Arctic Monkeys on TSR have a self gripe that they are good but not that good. Thats why they are bloody popular.

Yes it is annoying for people to say that they are the biggest thing for 20 years or so, but they do have the potential to be as they have the right attitude about making music. Give them a break.
