I'm currently doing the first draft of my personal statement.

In my personal statement, I have referred to my chosen degree as, "Media"...

BUUUT,

Not all of the courses I am applying to are actually called "Media", they are titled:

Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies
Media and Journalism
Journalism
Media communications

So, what do I do? For example, would the Journalism course be put off me for not specifying "Journalism" as the degree I'm ambitious to study?

I would be soo grateful for any advice!

Create your personal statement for a all of your courses, I'm doing mine, i haven't mentioned the courses i am taking but specify what fascinates you about the courses what you have learned the past year or how does journlisiam affect you, what do you find so attractive about it.
